Beginning the Journey – Mentor Teachers TAUPO

This workshop is being offered again in 2023 for teachers supporting or planning to support teachers new to the profession. The aim is to support you with what you ned to know, do and be in the role of a mentor.

Participants will learn what is involved with creating a high quality mentoring program and share good practice in the identified needs of Provisionally Certificated Teachers to help them thrive in their first two years of teaching.

Topics to be covered include:

• Induction and mentoring – how it works
• What makes a good induction and mentoring programme
• What high-quality mentoring looks like
• Developing personalised and collective two-year pathways of learning.
